I will radically immerse myself in your environment, seamlessly integrate with your teams, embrace your strategy and long-term goals, use your internal tools acting as an interim product manager. From building new products to scaling existing ones, through tackling technical debt and sunsetting an old architecture, my main focus will be about : delivering a maximum iterative value, while minimizing the waste, and championing co-creation and alignment throughout the entire cycle.
The emphasis here is on developing easy-to-use data services with a high level of abstraction. This means ensuring that teams can create, consume, and share data smoothly and reliably. This work naturally cuts across multiple teams and focuses on identifying common denominators in how they use data. I’ll lead the process of uncovering these needs through close collaboration with various teams and stakeholders. I’ll articulate these needs through a product lens and actively participate in translating them into modular data components with the platform team, emphasizing extensibility, scalability, and reliability.
The primary focus is on shaping autonomous and domain-oriented data units that are designed to be consumed by other teams, with an emphasis on ensuring domain quality and usability by design. These products are created with a conscious effort to be polyglot, available through optimised interfaces and output ports, making them easily accessible to other systems, data products, or users.
The core focus is on transforming how data products are incepted, designed, and delivered by centering human experience. It starts with empathizing with users through research and feedback, uncovering the real challenges they face with data. From this understanding, data products are shaped to solve real-world problems through intuitive experiences. The goal is to captivate users from the first interaction, guiding them smoothly from discovery to engagement and ensuring lasting value.
